The Baroc is a mobile operating table in the form of a chair developed specially for patients with obesity. Using the Baroc helps optimise the logistics process at a hospital, thus improving efficiency, offering time savings and requiring less hospital staff. Moreover, the Baroc also offers health and safety benefits such as improved ergonomics and reduced load on the staff, for example because patients can climb on and off themselves.

Indes was responsible for the design of the chair, during which ergonomics was of course a major focus. Additionally, Indes made a significant contribution in the development and production of the Power Assist Technology. By using the esense Power Assist Technology, a patient weighing up to 350 kg can be transported to the OR effortlessly and without physical strain.
